Owner, Curator, Art Critic : Jason Kao
Dr. Jason Kao (高耀星博士) is the oldest son of Kao Ying 高瀅, the founder of Kao Ying Calligraphy and Painting Academy (高瀅書畫院). He holds a M.A. degree (McGill University) and a Ph.D. degree (University of Toronto). His main research interest includes Chinese art history and the relationship between politics and fine arts in contemporary China.
Dr. Kao is the owner of Kao Ying Gallery in Toronto and has curated several art exhibitions in Taiwan and Canada. He is also a columnist for Ming Pao Weekly since April 2012, offering commentary and opinions on Chinese works of art.
